Ana is a researcher at G.E.M.S. She obtained her bachelors degree in AgroIndustry at Zamorano University and her Ph.D. in Plant Breeding and Molecular Genetics at the University of Minnesota. She is interested in supporting efforts to ensure food security. She applies population genetic approaches towards the study of crop’s history, the effect of breeding efforts in crops or animals and the global impact of such efforts.
