Expertise: Quantitative genetics, plant breeding (small grains), simulation
Jeff Neyhart, PhD, is a postdoctoral research associate specializing in plant breeding and quantitative genetics. He holds a B.S. in Plant Science from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in Applied Plant Sciences from the University of Minnesota. Jeff’s research broadly focuses on improving decision-making in plant breeding through i) advanced modeling of genomic, environmental, and economic data, ii) plant breeding simulations, and iii) operations optimization. In his spare time, he enjoys biking in the Twin Cities, is an avid freshwater and saltwater angler, and occasionally performs stand-up routines in local pun slam competitions.
